GHRP-2 (pralmorelin) is a synthetic hexapeptide that acts as a potent ghrelin receptor (GHS-R1a) agonist. It produces strong GH pulses comparable to Hexarelin, with moderate cortisol and prolactin elevation — more than Ipamorelin but less than Hexarelin or GHRP-6. GHRP-2 was studied extensively in clinical trials, including a Phase III trial for GH deficiency assessment, and is approved as a diagnostic agent in Japan. It represents a middle ground in the GHRP family: potent GH release without GHRP-6's pronounced hunger stimulation or Hexarelin's rapid desensitization.
