Real and independently verifiable — not a fabricated identity — but younger than it markets itself as, not accredited, and its ownership traces to a company that has let its own state registration lapse. Treat a Chromate COA as one real data point, not a guarantee.
Chromate is a research-compound testing lab offering RP-HPLC purity testing, LAL endotoxin testing, and ICP heavy metals testing, marketed from Hudson, NH.
Chromate does not hold ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation and does not appear in the A2LA registry. No CLIA registration either.
Age claim: markets as "2024 (per site copyright notice)", but registered October 23, 2025.
Address: markets as "Hudson, NH", registered at 142 Main St, Nashua, NH 03060.
The verification portal (chromate.org/verify, Job Number + Access Code) is live and functional — confirmed by loading it directly. New Hampshire's corporate registry (Chromate Analytical Group LLC, business ID 1007680) shows the entity is real and in "Good Standing."
Did not have a current Job Number/Access Code on hand to run a live end-to-end portal lookup this session (a prior lookup with a real Perfect Peptides code did succeed in earlier research).
Two real discrepancies found on fresh re-verification, neither previously documented: (1) the LLC was formed 2025-10-23 — about ten months before this check — while the site's own footer still reads "© Chromate 2024," a real gap between the legal entity's age and its marketing claim. (2) The registered principal address is 142 Main St, Nashua, NH — not Hudson, NH as shown on the lab's own contact page. Additionally, the LLC's sole listed member is another company, Astra Bioscience LLC, rather than a named individual — and Astra Bioscience LLC's own New Hampshire registration currently shows "Not In Good Standing," a lapsed compliance status one level up the ownership chain.
Verify a COA from Chromate yourself: chromate.org/verify — tested directly by Watchtower and confirmed working.
